Fightback Begins Against Massive Liberal Health Care Cuts in B.C.

APRIL 23, 2002, VANCOUVER: Workers chant "No Justice, No Peace" chant at April 23 protest against destruction of health care in B.C.

TUESDAY APRIL 23, 2002 - "Fightback Tuesday":
The BC Liberals reneged on yet more election promises today with sweeping health care cuts that will result in hospital closures and the layoff of over 10, 000 workers. 90% of those laidoff will be women making it the biggest layoff of women workers in Canadian history. Health care workers in the Hospital Employees' Union dubbed the day �Fightback Tuesday� and began a campaign to make the government change course.
