Fightback Begins Against Massive Liberal Health Care Cuts in B.C.

APRIL 23, 2002, VANCOUVER: Workers chant "No Justice, No Peace" chant at April 23 protest against destruction of health care in B.C.

TUESDAY APRIL 23, 2002 - "Fightback Tuesday":
The BC Liberals reneged on yet more election promises today with sweeping health care cuts that will result in hospital closures and the layoff of over 10, 000 workers. 90% of those laidoff will be women making it the biggest layoff of women workers in Canadian history. Health care workers in the Hospital Employees' Union dubbed the day “Fightback Tuesday” and began a campaign to make the government change course.
