Nurses issue Patient’s Bill of Rights

RNs propose specific, far-reaching improvements in services and quality of care that patients receive under our publicly-funded health care system
On the eve of a new provincial budget, BC nurses are proposing specific and far-reaching improvements in the services and quality of care available to patients under our publicly-funded health care system.

The nurses have issued a Patient’s Bill of Rights which proposes significant improvements in what patients can expect when they go to an emergency room, require surgery, seek community health services such as home care, need a bed in a nursing home, require palliative care in the last days of their lives and want access to information about their care.
