Dr. Vandana Shiva


Vandana Shiva is a world renowned scientist and activist. In partnership with local communities and social movements she founded the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology in New Delhi in 1982 to addess the most significant ecological and social issues of our time. She has achieved international recognition for her contributions to the fields of women and the environment, bio-technology and intellectual property rights as well as ecological issues related to agriculture.

Dr. Shiva's Vancouver lecture was sponsored by the Women's Studies Department of Simon Fraser University. It was broadcast in two parts on working TV, as programs number 115 and 116.
