Highlights from the May 7, 2005 action at the Wal Mart store in New Westminster B.C., one of 43 actions at Wal Marts across Canada organized by the Canadian Labour Congress. Activists disributed information to shoppers and Wal Mart employees blowing the whistle on some of the corporations infamous labour practices.

About 150 B.C. activists took time out of a tight provincial election campaign Saturday morning to go to the mall, to the Wal Mart store in New Westminster to be precise.

Several actually went inside the store - the first time ever inside a Wal Mart for some, including working TV's videographer.

It was part of an action, co-ordinated at 43 Wal Mart stores across the country by the Canadian Labour Congress to make both shoppers and Wal Mart employees aware of some of the corporations infamous labour practices.
