Acts of Transformation: War Toys to Peace Art is a Peace Education project initiated by grass roots teachers in British Columbia, Canada now endorsed by the B.C. Teachers' Federation. |
 | The idea came from retired teacher Sam Fillipoff during the leadup to the 2006 World Peace Conference in Vancouver. It was first put into practice by Coquitlam teacher Suzan Ruzic. The goal is to start a conversation on "A Culture of Peace and Non-Violence," and the practice of peace in schools and communities.  more |
