Opportunities and Contradictions - Elected Office and Social Change
A discussion-style presentation where questions are posed to the panel as a whole and each panel member is given an opportunity to respond. Questions are modified slightly for each panel member to reflect that person's area of representation. Ingo Schmidt moderates the panel comprised of Mable Elmore, MLA for Vancouver-Kensington; Fred Glass from the California Federation of Teachers; Jean Crowder, MP for Nanaimo-Cowichan and NDP critic for Aboriginal Affairs; and Jim Sinclair, President of the BC Federation of Labour.
